An on-demand grinder keeps beans in the hopper and grinds a dose into the portafilter at the press of a button. It is fast and works well with one coffee and high volume. A single dose grinder such as X-ONE grinds only the weighed dose and leaves the chamber empty, so switching coffees is easy and nothing is wasted.
For medium and high volume we recommend SR 83 OD with 83 mm burrs. For a second coffee, such as decaf, SR 64 is often enough. Roasteries and cafés with several coffees choose X-ONE.
D8 and Zoe have the Sanremo Link option: a cable connection through which the machine corrects the grind in real time. It works with many grinders with electronic or manual adjustment.
